Upper Key Stage Two
Years 5 and 6
Pupils transition from our Neale House Campus at the end of Year 4 to Bennett House Campus.
We have three forms of entry in both year groups.
The pupils are at the centre of SMSJ and our highly dedicated team of staff provide an engaging, nurturing environment for them to thrive as happy, confident individuals. Pupils are actively encouraged to be involved with their own learning and are provided with opportunities that are relevant for their needs both now and in the future to enable them to excel.
Our curriculum is challenging, stimulating and inspiring. It allows all pupils to experience success and to reach their full potential. We regularly celebrate all successes and achievements.
We have very high expectations of both the behaviour and learning of everyone in our school and place a strong emphasis on the shared Christian and British Values which are an integral part of our curriculum. Our pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 continue to learn, develop and practice our core values of Wisdom, Service and Hope alongside the other Christian values including those of friendship, compassion, respect, tolerance, forgiveness, thankfulness, perseverance and humility. All values which underpin our ethos and vision.
SMSJ is a community involving staff, pupils, governors, parents/carers and the local parishes of St Mary's and St John’s churches. We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with the community and firmly believe that education is a partnership between school and home and regard all parents and carers as active partners in their child’s education – we value your support and interest.
